Hey ausbots what trade should I do? could I become an electrician I'm shit at maths what do you think the best trade in Australia to do is?
I'm American, but I would suggesting welding.
>>26985333
I'm in training to be a surveyor at the moment although I'm considering dropping out and becoming a linesman or instrumentalist or something
>>26985573
Is instrumentalist the same as an instrument technician?
>>26985644
On the note of instrument techs, one of the most in demand trades just now, 10/10 would recommend
>>26985663
Prepare to work 10+ hours a day including Saturdays though
>>26985644
yeah pretty much lad ttbh
>>26985696
I work a 40 hour week and barely do anything desu lad, in the UK though
>>26985696
Never mind
Wrong job
>>26985705
Yeah get on it, easy as fuck, decent pay and I actually find the process control stuff really interesting
>beyond 2010
>trade
Cmon mate its not 2005 anymore. Get a diploma for starters. If you have the ATAR for it, go back to university
>>26985333
sparky is the sweetest gig ive had in a while and the maths is hectic but most people get their heads around it in the end.
go sparky bro
>>26985854
>go back to university
>university
>>26985878
tell me your reasons. Let me guess first incase i already got it right:
>uni is a meme
>job saturation
How close am i to your line of thinking? If not close at all, explain yourself
Considering becoming a barber.... straight days, make people look and feel good. Goes well I work for myself. Goes bad I work for myself.
>>26985854
>Be instrumentation technician
>Earn more than any average electrical engineering
>tfw people try to tell me to go back to university
>tfw rich and do barely anything all day
University is a meme
>>26986179
electrical engineer* kek
>>26986179
Care to elaborate? you're obviously earning well above average for your job occupation.you dont just make that claim and atart talking like a memester
>>26985875
Yeah that is the only thing I'm worried about is the maths that's why I thought going plumber would be a better choice for me.
>>26985573
don't you need a degree to be a surveyor?
>>26986420
Need a degree to be licensed which gets you more benefits, it's why I'm considering doing something else that gets you outdoors but with less measurement bullshit
>>26986297
The guys just trolling. He probably does something else on the side. Theres no way he makes more than an electrical engineer just through his job
>>26986473
Sounds neat. What kind of outdoor settings to surveyors work in? Is it shitty suburban streets or do you get to out into the country?
>>26985573
Go for instrument tech or electrician/EFM.
>coming from a linesman who can't find work that isn't FIFO
>>26986519
Get to do both. Depends who you work for. Also has some officework using AutoCAD, LISCAD ect. The work is tedious but easy.
>>26986179
>shitty technician making more than an engineer
Dat fantasy tripping though
>>26985333
>have one of the most generous welfare systems in the world
>choose to be a wageslave
Why? I pull in almost $800 in disability plus almost $200 in rent assistance each fortnight. I live at home so the rent assistance goes to cable and internet and food etc. I'm financially better off than literally every single one of my wageslave friends. It's literally as simple as saying you are depressed and would probably try suicide if you had to work.
>>26986954
You know, this isn't really the time for your trolls. I mean i find them funny a lot of the times but for you to just suddenly pull the neet meme after 25 replies in...i don't know man
>>26986954
Does having depression really get you on disability? I need those NEETbux.
>>26987098
>the welfare system doesn't exist
Um yes, yes it does. If you're australian I can't even begin to know how you wouldn't be aware of our welfare system.
>>26987151
If your depression prevents you from getting work (or at least you say it does) then yes, depression can get you disabilitybux. 1 in 20 working age australians are on disability payments, even under Liberals it's not difficult to get. Just be prepared to answer Centrelinks questions and don't back down about your 'illness'.
>>26985333
How the fuck are you too stupid for electrician maths?
>>26986954
>$200 rent assistance
hmm
Prove it. I'm genuinely considering getting diagnosed for one of the various mental issues I have and getting on AUTISMbux but I won't do it unless I can actually live comfortably forever on it. It's not like I have any expenses beyond just basic living needs
>>26987205
>Prove it
Find out yourself you lazy cunt.
>>26987227
Nice evidence there, FAGGOT
>>26987168
How the duck did you interpeet my post as the welfare system doesn't exist? Im pointing your wagecuck posting was badly timed.
And another thing Post a picture of your JCA i only got 10 points so i didint manage to get DSP
>>26986954
>make more as wage slave while doing next to nothing
>can't be fired either due to strong Union influences in the industry
You picked the wrong side neet friend
Hey ausbots, I got a call today to do some course in getting my forklift license after applying for a warehousing job
They said it was all paid for by the government
What's the catch? Am I going to get raped?
>>26987796
Sydney? Ill back you up friend
>>26985333
Be one of those cunts who hold up a stop /slow sign. Apparently they get paid 30 dollars and hour.
>>26988267
>I'll back you up friend
This just reinforces my initial assumption about getting raped
>>26988379
Get a security licence, just be a security guard and patrol around and do nothing
