A fair warning though, if you collect non bonkle figures, 2015 bonkles will look extremely jarring compared to your other figures when displayed.

Which has always been the point, right? The newer stuff is way more Lego-like than ever. All sorts of base-limbs and armor plates you can switch around and add to. Lot of room for customization. Original Toa had one giant useless block for a torso and one-piece pre-bent limbs, which is why oldschool Lego autists absolutely hated them and hate them to this day.
One thing that sucks is how the new line just isn't getting a big budget. Very few new parts, the same weapons being reused, and tons of parts only come in certain colors.

A lot of it does tie together. The ADA and CF command structures as well as special forces teams in the wars against the Karnivov empire and Sellos collective create united plots. I also have standalone stories designed to flesh out different regions of space as well as the societies that develop there. The BZ empire is massive, and its culture differs from planet to planet. I like to focus on spacers (merchant ship captains) as well as migrant stations that act as airports in between the different regions of space. The Gorast lore was an exceptional one because he is an influential politician in BZ govenment, but most of my models are more common folk in society. You get a better feel for what its all about if you focus on the daily lives of citizens instead of the major actions of the government and military bodies. I'm not trying to be Tom Clancy here.

All those vibrant, elemental colors and pieces were great, but I only got the same two you mentioned. They flew off the shelves so quick that by the time I had money for them, they were out of stock. Somehow earlier and later sets I could still find online for years, but not this series. They just sorta disappeared.

I remember I was at kohl's and they had a few legos and star wars action figures. These were 3 dollars a piece and my mom said i could get ALL of them. I got all of them and had this really guilty feeling in my stomach and told my mom I felt bad, and she said not to worry and enjoy it.
I built all of them that night, the water, leaf, and desert were the coolest.

Did anyone else play that Bionicle game on Xbox as a kid? I remembered loving it as a child, but when I recently replayed it I realized how shit it actually was.
Looking back, it's obvious that they cut out at least 2/3rd's of the game, which is a damn shame, because it had its moments.
