>Friedrich Nietzsche once gave an artistic female friend of his a gift, a large toad which he had caught in the hotel's garden wrapped in his handkerchief. He suggested that she draw it.

Nietzsche literally invented the frogposting meme in the 19th century. This pepe, if it still exists, is the rarest pepe, the mythical primordial pepe.

It should also be noted that he claimed to be Polish, just like Wojak aka feelguy, who originated on Karachan. These memes go much, much deeper than we ever thought possible. His work, on the genealogy of morality, contains in it some of the first studies of the memetic nature of ideas which later went on to inform Dawkins in his identification of the meme a century later.
>>
I'm pretty sure people (and even Poles) drew frogs before the 19th century. I hope you're enjoying his writings though.

Whoever can put his hands on that frog will be the Meme King.

Nvm, it was Schopenhauer who was born in Gdansk. Nietzsche was born in Rocken.

Also, reading up on his relations to women and how he got friendzoned so often makes you realise he was indeed a robot.

In order to revive pepe we must trace him back to his origins, deconstruct him in order to create new value in him.

We must recognize him as an abstraction, one form of many potential forms which could have arisen, and then explore these potentials.

I'm trying to read Thus Spoke Zarathustra right now and yesterday while reading these two chapters, I realized he was a robot born before his time

>Is it not better to fall into the hands of a murderer than into the dreams of a lustful woman?
>And just look at these men: their eye saith it -they know nothing better on earth than to lie with a woman.
>Filth is at the bottom of their souls; and alas! if their filth hath still spirit in it!

>As yet woman is not capable of friendship. But tell me, ye men, who of you is capable of friendship?

Ugh. The KJV emulation translation is fucking horrible. I highly recommend finding a copy of the Kaufmann translation if possible. I read that version first and I'm into section 3 of the Kaufmann version, it's SO much fucking better.

But yeah, "the rabble" might as well have been titled "THE NORMIES", most of the prose could read as REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE and the general message would be unchanged. He was leagues smarter than the average robot but he had the NEET perspective on life down to a t.

He liked animals, there is nothing non-robot about liking animals. Schopenhauer preached the pessimistic version of the robot gospel and he loved animals.

Nietzsche is more like the eudaimonic NEET though, who uses wagecuck funding to pursue a certain form of life, truthseeking and self-overcoming.

I think the issue most people have with nietzsche is that he writes in aphorisms, fragments and parables which can fool you into thinking that you can just read bits and pieces and 'get' him.

but he's actually the opposite. most philosophers write a book as a self contained work, nietzsche's books are all interdependent, you just can't truly understand him unless you've read at least Zarathustra, Human, all too Human, Genealogy of Morality, Beyond Good and Evil, and Twilight of the Idols.

Zarathustra contains every idea he ever had in at least some form, but you have to have read his other works to find them in it. Otherwise you end up like Hitler and the other pseudo-fanboys on the internet who've read a little bit and run with the most basic interpretation of what they've read.
>>
>>26907157
>The KJV emulation translation is fucking horrible.
I just searched google and posted the first results I got, the book I'm reading is the Hollingdale version

I think the biggest part (from the little I read) is that his writing style is pretty hard to understand, If you know what he is writing about it, it's really fun to read, but if you don't know what he is trying to portray, it's so fucking difficult to derive the meaning.
>>
>>26904823
If Nietzsche was alive today he would post on 4chan im fucking sure of it
And everybody would reply to him with fedoras
>>
>>26907457
Hitler understood Nietzsche well, it's just that any commentary made by him would have been limited by public understanding, and he knew this, so he purposely spoke in a way in order to resonate with the people. Everything he said was crafted to build the Germans' egos up. He understood the normie mentality and what they would have been thinking of Nietzsche, and he knew with certainty that was what they were thinking because he actually understood the work. Don't forget that Hitler did very well in school before he dropped out.

>>26907488
It's his style and the translation combined that make him hard to understand, the Kaufmann work is a more literal translation, the Hollingdale version tries to make it sound more like the King James version of the bible, since Nietzsche wrote the book in the style of the German Lutheran bible.

The text is still incredibly deep with meaning and hard to contextualize, but at least you're not navigating through hackishly translated faux-biblical prose. Kaufmann's version also comes with his interpretations which IMO are pretty spot on for the most part and provide aid when trying to squeeze water from the rocks that Nietzsche sometimes gives you in his parables.

>>26907457
And you still havent read anything of him.

Nietzsche incarnate at the same time Chad's philosophy and Robot's philosophy, that's why I think reading nietzsche would be one of the most useful cure for robotism

>>26907589
No he didnt you fucking cuck. It was his sister Who gained alot of popularity from it, because she was a fan of Nietzsche. God, you robots are so stupid.
>>
>>26907661
Nietzsche's sister gained Nazi clout by repurposing his work, yeah, but the Nazis themselves and Hitler used Nietzsche's work to build up the Germans' egos.

>because she was a fan of Nietzsche
No, she did it to gain clout because she's a popularity-appealing roastie turbo skank.
>>
>>26907615
>Kaufmann's version also comes with his interpretations
That's actually pretty cool, I feel like I've been understanding most of them, but "Of the Three Metamorphoses" and "Of the Flies of the Marketplace" went way over my head, and I'm sure that it's only going to get harder the deeper I get into the book.

Jesus Christ you autist, this is a thread where we jokingly try to claim Nietzsche invented the frog-meme, where're not ACTUALLY suggesting he did. What I did was cherrypick, oversimplify and misrepresent (with humorous intent) his actually complex philosophy in order to make him seem like a robot; i.e. it was a joke.

Now if we are to get real, I have read Human, but I prefer the Gay Science and of course Zarahustra. The Anti-Christ was also good reading, since it so clearly dispels the myth of him as a nihilist and establishes his life-afirming view. I haven't read his older stuff yet, like the Genealogy of Morality. Also, Beyond Good and Evil has been on my to-read list for years but I never seem to pick it up from the bookshelf... shame on me, I guess.

>>26907560
Yes, despite my ernest appreciation of him and my silly assertion that he was really a robot, I do still think that he'd be here occasionally if he was alive now.

>>26907589
"...the Germans, with their 'Wars of Liberation', robbed Europe of the meaning, of the wonderful meaning of Napoleon's existence - hence they have everything that came after, everything that exists here today on their conscience, this most cultural-inimical sickness and unreasonableness that there is, nationalism, this nevrose nationale with which Europe is sick, this perpetuation of European petty-statesmanship, of petty politics: they have robbed Europe itself of its meaning, of its reason - they have led it into a blind alley." - Ecce Homo
>>
>>26907787
On the Flies of the Marketplace is a subtle attack on Wagner, though contemporary readers might draw a comparison to Hitler instead. Basically it's shitting on collectives and their idols.

The metamorphoses is essentially the first part of his work on self overcoming and the overman. To create new values, you must first understand and bear the current values, like a beast of burden. Then you must defy them like the lion. But to create new values, you must become a child again, as the mind of the child is where values are formed. Freud's work leans heavily on this idea.

Sections you should pay close attention to include chapters 1-5, 10, 11, 17, 19-22 of the first part, chapters 2, 3, 6-8, 12, 19-21 of the second, chapters 2, 3, 5, 10, 13, 16 of the third. The fourth part is a major stylistic shift, the conversation with the kings is the core of this part, the last supper and the ass festival are also high points. The fourth part is generally written more humorously and has a more linear plot than the first three.

the internet is the equivalent of the public marketplace of the 21st century, and that was where most of the Greeks hung out to philosophize.

>>26908379
Nietzsche himself called her a bitch when she ran off with some antisemitic Aryan chad to start a racially pure colony in Paraguay. Eventually the Chad failed and offed himself so she came back to Germany and eventually took care of him in his madness.

His relationship with his sister was generally rosy until she ran off with Forster.
