I'm in my last year in high school and hate this shit school and everyone in it. Though it doesn't feel like I have a good enough reason to go (olumbine on them I still fantasize about it daily. To me it was just a lot cooler than tech. They were friends who had similar ideas and put them to work with lots of planning. I wish I had a friend like that. On the other hand, Eric and Dylan were almost poetic, either in their writings or what they said - "just killing people" and "today is the day we die" are better than half of Cho's ramblings.

It's the nostalgia factor as several other people have pointed out. When you read up about Columbine and the lives of the shooters, you learn a lot about the life in the late nineties. Being bored out of their mind and having nothing to do in a boring quiet mountain town, you learn about recognisable videogames such as Doom, and artists/bands like Rammstein and Marilyn Manson. Making you remember what is was like growing up back in those days, making Eric and Dylan more relatable than Cho. The Columbine shooting was just an extra icing on the cake, for me, i love reading about their lives in Colorado in 1998-1999 the most because it reminds me of a simpler time when the world wasnt infested with an overload of technology and meme institutions.
The shooting of 2007 on the other hand, that magic timeframe was already gone for most us 90's kids, making that shooting less memorable.
