I worked on my book today. Its called Waypoint, and its about a space station in between the andromeda and milky way galaxies. I also practiced guitar and bass, which I've been playing for a few years now. I'm thinking of taking up piano and drums too to complete the set. What instruments do you play wagie? I was a college student, but my parents fucked me out of my scholarship, impersonated me by using my state-issued email when I left my phone at the house one day after I dropped out (because I can't afford it and I had $10,000 in debt after some bullshit where they said they'd save me the trouble of taking out a student loan and pay for a semester when they didn't) and left me incapable of registering for college anywhere for over a year.
Then they ruined my credit by withholding my mail from since I'd started college until five months ago about a loan they took out when I was 17 and decided to stop paying and refused to fix it because they didn't know how.
So now they let me live at home again for free but constantly bitch at me to figure out what to do with my life and move out.

Damn dude, I just got home from work and saw this thread. It's all too real, man. Even worse for me because I have known the joys and pleasures of the NEET life and chose to go back into wageslavery because I couldn't deal with the shame of being a useless blight upon society.
I too, am working on a sci-fi novel, but I'm only a few thousand words in because I never have the energy to work on it when I come home from the office. It really sucks to see my passion and creativity just being left by the wayside. The biggest highlights of my week are tuesdays and thursdays when flash and legends of tomorrow/ the 100 come on. How sad is that- I actually look forward to prime time television just like all the other wagecucks across the country. I'm letting society spoonfeed me my entertainment just so I can be happy enough to wake up the next day and keep working to make someone else rich.
The thing is, though, in the long term at least I will be developing employable skills that I can eventually use to break away from this shitty 9-5 job and work for myself. I believe that once I have the skills and talents to go freelance as a web developer/ writer, I will be able to make my own work hours and achieve a mystical zen-like balance between wage-slavery and NEETdom.
In the meantime, the thought of that glorious time just makes me work even harder so I can achieve the dream faster.
