True, but even if they do, it'll be with other east Asians, so it's within their race. A ethnic Korean or Han Chinese could theoretically integrate into Japanese culture very easily. It'd be like an ethnic German moving to and integrating into France. Japan is never going to be flooded with tens of millions of Arabs, Africans, or Europeans. But the animation studios go where the money is.
You look at risky 'art' shows, and often they don't make a profit. If you wanted more 'art' you'd have to get the goverment funding it, which is a whole different ballgame.
I mean when you get down to it, aren't you like one of those sjws who want to make videogames into 'art'? Trying to push your own idea of what the medium should be onto its creators?
That said, there's still a few decent shows coming out here and there. I'm enjoying Showa Genroku Rakugo a lot. It's interesting seeing them talk about old forms of Japanese theatre and comedy.

However, I think it's because Japan has a quite rigid culture, derived from Chinese confucianism.
You work hard, and in society you must be hammered down like a nail in plank. But you're allowed to vent your frustrations and quirks in private. I don't really have one, nothing really sticks. I haven't really touched the anime scene much anyways, this is all from what little I know and feel (people say I know a lot about things that I dont take part of, like relationships. I don't know much, but I can put pieces vaguely together). I have problems where I don't really have positive reinforcement, so I don't develop any passions for things (I have to get checked out by the psychiatrist, but mom is a Christian who's all "there's nothing wrong with you, you're just lazy") so I don't really have a favourite anything. I gave up on uni because of the emptiness imploding on myself, and have terribly low self esteem when it comes to trying new things out, like getting into the plethora of animes, or becoming pro at a videogame, or joining a new sport or hobby (I think to myself, I don't really like this, I don't have the emotions to further my abilities/knowledge in this field, why am I trying? It doesn't make me feel better, and besides there's others who truely enjoy doing this, that's something I'll never feel... Then I give up). My computer is broke so that's also a problem. Now I just sleep browse 4chan on my phone, watch some YouTube vids and consider suicide.
Tldr: I have problems and haven't really got a favourite anime, or even dived deep into the anime scene. Please don't hate me or disregard the things I've said in our discussion

Thanks senpai. I've gotten a few recommendations, like evangelion or something, but I haven't started watching it due to the low self esteem and emptiness I have. Like a person I knew borrowed a game of mine, then a couple weeks later they 100% it. When I got it back and looked at the file, I felt really bad inside since I've never had the ability to put in that much dedication into a game and feel positive about it (neutral, yes, I've only completed a few Zelda games, but good about myself? No) and never picked up the game again. I dont even vidya anymore. Because The concept of watching anime when I know people who are passionate about the stuff makes me feel bad inside like with that game, so I can't guarantee that I'll watch it. Sorry for laying this out on you anon, I should tell a professional about this

Thanks, I'll try. i used to be able to go my own pace, but then HS struck and I began to know people and the lives the lived, which made me self conscious and comparative. I put myself on an objective scale, and everyone I knew was higher than me because they lived a life (didn't matter what life they lived, at least they lived it). Maybe it'll get better?
