The bone for my shoulder sticks out on an extremely sharp point that's less than a millimeter from the skin.
I used to do shotput, and every so often, after throwing, I would get immense shoulder pain, lift up my sleeve and see that the skin has ruptured and I have bone sticking out, and at least one person would have a full blown panic attack.
It was both depressing and amazing at the same time.

And yes it takes about three years, but it only "really hurts" in the first "phase" of the recovery. So it is basicly hell the first two weeks, then it is shit for a few months, and a bit annoying for a few more months, then it is fine for 2+ years.
You should really do it, I did it when I was 14 or something and it really changed my life to the better.

I have PE. It has never been an issue to me. Normies are fucking clueless about it and if you work out enough it makes your pecs look sort of unique which is something I quite like. I don't want to be the justbeeurslef dude but seriously unless you have it really bad there is no point in being self conscious about PE.
