>Schopenhauer's "On Women" (1851)
You literally CAN NOT be a robot if you haven't read this. Required reading for every true member of the board.

Pic related is my nomination.

Walden by thoreau
its a peaceful little book that makes you feel good

"this is the house that i built;
this is the man that lives in the house that i built

but they did not know that the third line was,-

theses are the folk that worry the man
that lives in the house that i built."

How does reading take effort?
It's literally just pick a book and start reading. Playing video games takes more effort than that.
>>
>>26845487
>Mark
disgusting libtard GTFO
>>
>>26845528
That's surface-level reading. Really thinking about something is an active process.
>>
>>26845528
You have to think and stimulate your mind when you read
>>
>>26845528
Most of us have ADD issues and get bored easily with reading.

I for one read incredibly slowly, so after a couple pages I'm bored.
>>
Houellebecq's Whatever and Atomised
It's the most up-to-date r9k books you will find
Fucking read up on 'em

>>

Not video games, once you understand a game well enough you can autopilot through almost everything.

And anime you just have to start the video and put your hands in your pocket
>>
>>26845487
>marx
>engels

literally babbys first
>>
>>26845552
>Really thinking about something is an active process
thats true, but just like any hobby in life it takes practice. when you start playing the guitar, your fingers hurt, you cant remember chords, you feel overwhelmed. but one day youll sit down with your guitar and play for relaxation, disguising learning with enjoyment.
>>
>>26845642
gotta start somewhere fampie
>>
>>26845621
That's why you look for challenging vidya.
You can't autopilot through Fire Emblem on max difficulty, for example.

Anime is not a hobby.
>>
>>26845380
edgy lyrics from Slipknot probably
>>
>>26845679
You just soft reset in Fire Emblem if the game gives you a shitty lvl up or fucks you over with a crit because it's 90% diceroll, that's not a real challenge because there's barely any strategy

The New Testament. Jesus is the true voice of robots. Jews are shit.
>>
>>26845727
Nah that's plain bullshit. If you're really good at RPGs you may be able to autopilot Fire Emblem on the hardest mode but it's way harder than reading a book and understanding it. It doesn't even come close.
>>
>>26845847
kek no it's not, Fire Emblem barely requires any thought once you realize who to feed your EXP to and who to bench. Reading is much more taxing on your brain and feels like a chore compared to the grade school tactics that FE has
>>
>>26845847
You can beat FE on hard but can you comprehend Spinoza?
>>
>>26845835
1.Jesus was a jew.
2. New testament was written by medieval scribes, are you you really going to trust their interpretations?
3. Old testament is literally the word of God

Compassion is for chumps. Heraclitus is the voice of robots.

>>
>>26845880
You're still going to get everyone killed if you don't think things through. Besides the first chapters everything OHKOs you, you can't just half ass it, unless you've reached a point in which your knowledge about video games is so high you can just breeze through it, but at that point go play Dwarf Fortress or something.
The gaming level it takes to clear Fire Emblem on autopilot is higher than the level of reading comprehension you need to read pretty much anything.
>>
>>26845905
1. Yes, he was. And jews betrayed him
2. "trust?" I don't care how realistic the new testament is, only atheists care about that
3. Yes, and God knew about the corruption of jews. That's why he created his son.

Also, Christianity was a dominant religion in Europe at the time, so of course he would be a theologist. Doesn't mean his scientific work is shit.
>>
>>26846111
Please don't tell me you pronounce his name as 'knee-chee'.
>>
>>26846187
Yeah, I know that. Jesus was born to die, and to prove that the jew community was corrupt.

That's why judaism sliced in two: old and new testament, you understand?
>>
>>26845669
actually true, it shows whos the retards that cant progress past those two

2. I care because I believe in God and his words without the interference of scribes
3.Jesus died for the sins of humanity. Key word humanity. Do not go pinning the blame on any one religious group because none of us are without sin.

Most "hard" modes on Fire Emblem are just half-assed artificial difficulty that didn't undergo any playtesting whatsoever. Play Fire Emblem: Thracia 776 if you want a genuine, non-bullshit challenge.
