This. A guy I'm working with is training to be an officer in Bristol and the fitness tests alone are ridiculous. You have to get to stage 6 on the beep test and be able to push/pull 35kgs. That's it. The day this guy got tested, though, the resistance machine was broken so they automatically passed everyone. They literally had to run for less than 10 minutes at a light pace to be allowed in the force.
