Used to do them in bouts of 50 when I was young, and then 100 for my black belt test.

I have since atrophied into a disgusting fatlard, but I'm getting back into shape and can do 30 no problem again.

Probably around 50 now. Real answer is laziness but some would call me depressed. Just started doing 2 sets to failure every other day again. At my peak I did 500 but I took a break where I lifted muh butt in the air but never got on the ground. If you don't count that then I probably could have done 250 without breaking pushup position. This might seem impressive but I'm a turbomanlet so calisthenics are easy af to me.

Are you doing sets to failure? Balance it out with pull ups too. Don't do it every day you need time to recover. Do you bench? Weights will help you break calisthenic plateaus

I do whatever I can at home with bodyweight, a pull up bar and a few dumbbells. I'm not willing to join a gym because I'm afraid to do it alone and screw things up because I wouldn't know what I was doing. I am doing sets to failure, but I pretty much always give out somewhere between 50 and 60 and it's been that way for a couple of months now. I made steady and fairly quick progress up until that point but as I said I've completely hit the wall.

Probably not getting enough protons to be honest, I've always had trouble eating more than once a day for a variety of reasons. It might just be that I've finally hit the point where poor eating habits have caught up with me and are preventing me from progressing any further.

I've been doing body exercises for years, and my old rugby coach made it mandatory for us to do 100 push ups, sit ups, burpies an exercise day and I haven't stopped since.
