There are thousands of psych/blues/folk influenced rock bands making music today. You're ignorant if you think none of them are sixties/seventies throwback bands. The problem with you people is that you don't bother to discover new music because of muh oldies so your perception is warped into seeing nothing new that's worth your time, so you continue to hang on to the music of the past. It's a feedback loop. There is almost nothing of substance in popular music these days so you have to go a little bit out of your way to find the good stuff.
Also being influential does not necessarily mean you were good. It means a lot of people thought you were good at the time.
