I bought a power-rack, Oly bar, plates, yoga mat, bench (for bench-press) etc.. I do mainly compound lifts, and Olympic lifts (power cleans, clean and jerk).

It's basically all i needed to make kids angry of my forearms, and lift stats.

I eat lots of fast food, sandwiches or instant/frozen shit. I know how to cook but it's hard for me to cook because my roommates are fucking slobs and our kitchen is really small, so it's always a disaster zone. Lately I have been making a big pot of beans and rice, enough to make burritos for a week. I usually add cheese, salsa, onions and peppers to them. Portion control is where I struggle most. I usually eat 6-8 of those burritos a day, and there is enough stuff crammed inside them to where I can barely fold them. For reference, I am 6'3 285.

I just don't get full. These are all things I have eaten in one sitting (separate occasions).

On the bright side, I am having success cutting out individual things one at a time. I have been able to eliminate cookies, ice cream and soda from my diet. I used to 18-24 cans of soda a week. I have replaced that entirely with water.

That was only the eating part of trying to get better. I am exercising and physically I do feel better from that. I swim and ride a stationary bike 3 times a week and lift 3 times a week. I have more energy and stamina. I'm not running marathons or anything like that but compared to where I was a year ago I feel better. Also, I have cut out soda and a lot of sugary stuff from my diet. I know my diet still isn't the best but it's a lot better than it used to be.

Also I specifically had blood work done to check for the diabeetus because I was worried about it. They said I don't have it but if I don't get healthier I will. That's really what made me decide it was time for changes.

Soda and the other stuff work, but as mentioned diet is one of the main parts. Look for your TDEE and go on my pal fitness and set yourself the calorie intake for your weight and height, what you want to achieve etc..

It will give you detailed views of how much sodium, fat, protein, and carb intake you need to gain or lose fat.
