theres a 150 foot tall bridge not too far from where I live. I was thinking I could bring a small suicide kit: jug of gasoline, box of matches, sharpened knife

Make a noose out of piano wire and glue your hands to the side of your head so when you hit the ground it looks like you tore your own head off.

Shotgun blast to the head is the most efficient. Very high success rate and instantaneous death (re: no pain).
