Additionally, I used to be really fucking ugly as a kid - a 3 on a bright day. But instead of bitching about my ugliness, I improved my personality by making myself more approachable, being funny and apathetic, and just getting myself out there. Not only did my confidence begin to grow, but so did the person I am now.
When you're persistently shy or hesitant in your behaviour, people view you as creepy or weak. But being approachable and funny in personality will remove that issue completely, and even if you don't have an appealing face, it'll improve you from being a 4 to a 7 no problem.
