Just tell them you've changed your name. Switch any details on social media, inform any banks or businesses etc. Depending on the country their may be some legal steps.

In the UK, there is no formal requirement to have any sort of legal process to use a different name, but there are a couple of different legal documents you can use as proof if you need to say get a passport or something.

It's not weird OP. People do it all the time. That's why there are processes for it. People change it because they don't like the old one, or they feel like they want a fresh start.

My family are normie as they come and nearly everyone has changed their name in some way or fashion. Spelling, using middle names or nicknames, or just using a different one entirely.
