Police officers in my area get paid the highest in the USA, after five years you get promoted to making $105k a year. The bad side is that it's hard to get into. Lie detector tests are bullshit. All you have to do is breathe slowly to pass. They're proven to be incredibly inaccurate. Everyone on earth has thought about murder at some point.
