In fact you don't even understand what first world is. It's a Cold War term. First world is u.s. and Russia. Second world are the countries manipulated by the two against each other. Third world are the countries no one gives a shit about.
Many people are confused over the map that OP used. Also, a search reveals that the string "NATO" does not appear once in this thread. The map is a mid-20th century map of the western bloc, being USA, western Europe and friends. Particularly the old membership of NATO (which does not include Switzerland or Sweden, let's be careful here)
Others have mentioned that these are US allies, but Turkey and Greenland, specifically, are full NATO members (Greenland is 'owned' by Denmark, which is the real sovereign country and NATO member).
As a matter of fact, there was a plane crash incident in Greenland about 50 years ago (they had armed planes constantly circling for perpetual readiness) which had the potential to lead to global nuclear war. Happily it didn't pan out that way. just search those phrases and you'll find the thing soon enough.
Some autists like to point out that "first world" properly and originally had a cold war connotation, but it has later taken on a "country worth living in" connotation which ought not to be dismissed. I would not describe Turkey or South Africa as "First world" today, for example, just becuase Muh Classical Cold War.
