Does depression ever go away?
>>
When you die it does.
>>
It's been with me for a long 27 years.
>>
i'm 29. it doesn't go away, it's always there but you sort of get number and number to things and less things matter as time goes on.
>>
If it ever goes away, you never had it in the first place.

If you are under 18, yes expect it to go away eventually.

If you are over 18, no. Its going to be there haunting you. As another anon said, you just need to learn to manage it.

Once you've reached the point of being sad because you're sad it's pretty much impossible without medication.

How can you manage to live with it and have a job. If you can't get up in the morning for weeks in fear of people and breakdowns.

Meds can give you a chance to get lower the volume of it, but it never completely goes away.
Also meds make you feel fake, I don't like them.

This
I'm currently failing hard at life because of this. How can I ever "live with it" if it prevents me from living in the first place?

It gets better with time I guess.

Meds help a bit too.

Nope. I was diagnosed with depression when I was 16. I am 24 now and literally nothing change except for nihilizm that came to my life two years ago.
You think money may be the thing? Nope. I moved to the UK 2 years ago due to great offer I received. Earn around 100k$/year net. I literally have enough money to go off without working for a few years now. Or even retire in latin america. Money is not the case.
Lack of sex? Nope. Since I became semirich there have been multiple women interested in me. I had sex with more than a few times, mostly when I took them for a trip or just visited them randomly.

I just wake up with a hole in my heart, feeling like the biggest liar. All those people do not know that the person I am is barely there anymore. I am an empty shell of whom I may have been.

It goes away, but it's fucking hard. Probably the hardest thing you'll ever do.

You have to work towards it every day. Make progress. Feel like you're building something. Depression holds you down, it stifles you, it steals your energy. Despite all that you need to find energy, you need to get up and do things that make you proud of yourself. You need to remember what drove you before the depression set in and use that as inspiration.

It might not work. It might make you hurt even more. But really the only way to get away from depression is to push back with equal, and then greater force, and take back control of your body.

Look into NSI-189. You'll need to send out some PMs on leddit or longecity to get ahold of it, because it can't be openly sold anymore due to the company companies that sell it. Wellbutrin is also the only medication I've ever tried that's been effective, and even then it doesn't make it go away. It just makes it easier to function, and reduces things to a dull ache.
