I need to get I STAY NOIDED on a t-shirt
first time I heard some of their songs I hated them. Then I saw a interview they did with Pitchfork and something about the way they talked about their music really resonated with me. Then I gave them another try, while reading the lyrics.
I'm pretty sure they don't make music for anyone but themselves. It's raw emotion. And it's meant to be unpleasant at times.
And now they're my go to band when I'm in the mood for something, loud, energetic, angry and just...different.

Exmilitary was a refreshing genre deconstruction and has the most replay value, The Money Store is their most pop-inspired album and suffers because of this (little replay value after 30 or so listens), No Love Deep Web is their most abrasive album and epitomizes most of what they stand for musically and existentially, but the inner hype the album produces fades after a few listens, Government Plates is cubistic and resonant (their best work in my opinion; and not ironically, as a sort of bipolar The Money Store, it took me a long fucking while to fully appreciate it), Niggas on the Moon is their most effective display of talent especially in regards to Zach's ability (scratch that, the album's only redeeming factor is Zach's drumming ability, because that's essentially 100% of what the album fucking is apart from Ride's melodramatic rapping), Fashion Week is a decent compilation of instrumentals, but half of it is filler, and Jenny Death is pretty much an amalgamation of all their previous works, therefore pretty fucking killer.
