The age of consent here is 14 and that right has been exercised multiple times.

I think these laws are mostly so it's not illegal for two 14 year olds to date. It's kind of expected that parents intervene if their 14 year old daughter goes out with a 24 year old man.
But most of the middle class parents are completely cucked and go for the progressive laissez-faire parenting instead of keeping their dumb daughter in check.
