I used to live in a garage on a mattress.
No deadly spiders but anywhere dark was covered in daddy long legs and every night when I went to sleep there were huntsman on the walls somewhere.
One day I came home, opened the garage door and laid down on the mattress only to look over the base of my fan where a snake was slithering along. I'm pretty sure killing snakes is illegal so of course I didn't harm it... but hypothetically if I were to respond to that situation I would grab the wine bottle next to me and repeatedly smash its head into the ground, then bag it up and throw it in the bin.

I live in melbs so there probably are not as many around, but once I had a spider on the wall, I hit it with my shoe and missed ( i was so tied).
It went under my bed, so I just went back to sleep, I found it across my room a few days later and didn't miss this time.
