anyone else actually have a bad ass car?
>tfw driving a 1967 mustang in the desert high and drunk listening to some good 60s music and looking at the moon thinking about the apollo missons
I have a '73 Charger.
>>26616887
ever do some dangerous shit in front of the cops and they laugh it off and give a thumbs up because your car is so cool?
its an incredible feeling.
>>26616842
Not really badass perse but ive got a 1967 ford ranger im fond of
I drive an '81 Alfa Romeo Spider, when it's running anyway.
I've got a Ford Focus 2007
Really badass shit
>mfw all ive got is this piece of shit sentra
>mfw it breaks down all the time
>mfw i will never have a badass car
1986 Toyota MR2
Slow as fuck , pretty sweeting looking though.
>>26617328
old cadillacs are still cheap
>>26616842
I have a Kia Soul.
So not me.
I have a 2014 Camaro Z/28. I'm 18 and can barely afford it.
I drive a 2013 scion tc. I hate it. I want a new car but Im not rich so I don't think anytime soon I will get a new car. Sigh
'14 Fiesta ST and an '07 S2000
I'm not sure either counts as badass, but I like them.
I'm also crew on a truly badass car, an E92 M3 endurance racing car with a 550HP stroker V8 and widebody.
>>26616842
IF YOU AIN'T LISTENING TO TOBACCO ROAD BY THE NASHVILLE TEENS YOU ARE FUCKING UP.
I owned a '67 Mustang for a while. Do you have hardtop, convertible, or fastback? And what color? Beautiful cars regardless.
>>26617648
Also, I couldn't afford it and now drive a Civic. Fucking pathetic.
An 87 corvette, has a swapped gen 1 350 stroked to 383, literally the only thing that gives my life meaning
Not sure this counts as badass, but it's a V12 and it makes a lovely sound.
>>26617894
Looking really fresh anon-san. You got any pics of engine bay?
I have a BMWmotorcycle
Thought it would get me babes but forgot you have to leave the house for them to see it
Toycar / race car / first car
90' FC3s Rx7
T04z, Bridgeported, 440rwhp, rollcage, the works. Probably spent 50k on this thing over the last 10 years.
2nd weekender
Nowhere near the amount of money spent as the rx7, built it on the cheap for bulk power/lag monster
Stock motor, T67+supporting mods, makes just shy of 500rwhp, practiclaly a ticking timebomb but it rarely gets driven anyway
Daily
Mx5, stock apart from coilies and wheels
>>26618084
Should probably add the 2nd car is a JZA70...
>>26618113
>>26618084
Just say Suprax and Rx7 You fucking elitist faggot. Nobody is impressed that you can Google a chassis code.
>>26617996
>and here we see the jaguar in it's natural habitat
Worked with a guy who used to have one of these, he said he only drove it on Sundays and spent the rest of the week working on it to get it ready for next sunday.
>>26618134
So everyone should just refer to there cars as "Silvias" or "Skylines" instead of s13/180sx/r32/r33 and such?
Chassis code lets people know exactly what model it is...
From saying JZA70, most people in the car scene can figure out its a 1jz, later model mk3 supra
or would you prefer me to just type "1992 1jzgte Toyota Supra with the later model face-lift"
>>26618084
Glorious Nippon fleet there, m8. My sister has a R34 GTT, she put a slightly bigger turbo, injectors, ic, fuelpump, radiator, headgasket, link g4 ecu etc in it. It made 419 in the dyno.
>>26618177
Your sister sounds amazing. Guessing you're in aus?
I drive an e92 m3
>>26618172
Most people can put 2 and 2 together "I have a 1997 240sx" sounds a whole lot less faggy than "I have ano S14 Kouki KA24DE. If you're smart enough to know a car by a fucking chassis code, you're smart enough to deduce the specifications for model name and year.
>>26618254
You are so mad lol
>>26617370
Kia Rio 2.
Not me either.
>>26618055
>chain drive
Why buy a BMW it it's one with chain drive? I really don't get it.
>>26618213
Northern yurop actually. You got any pics of your RX7?
>>26618163
kek
Shan't completely deny it. I've had a few over the years Mk2, Series 3 Sovver, Series 3 Double Six, XJ-S H.E., another XJ81. They've all needed some attention now and then. But I think the general view of them is a bit exaggerated. Many people seem to think they're like this in terms of reliability https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FEFfISdA8LQ
I use mine as a daily driver and have had no problems at all for the past 4 years, swap the odd wear part, oil change every 5000 km, fuel, tax and insurance. They're fine to own as long as they're not neglected.
>>26618338
Pretty much as it stands now. Have a carbon bonnet and V-mount set up to go on when i get enough time off work. Also have a shine auto front lip thats been laying around in my garage for like the last 6 months that i need to get around to putting on but he fitment is fucking attrocious. Never buying shit from shine auto ever again (Everyone says there stuff fits great...have bought stuff from them for my jza70 and had the same fucking issues...)
>>26618481
Looks absolutely gorgeous. No problems with the wheels touching the arches if there's a bump?
I recognize that about poor fitments, I remember sis was really pissed at something she bought, was lots of cutting up and welding to get it seated. Many of those traders make deals with chinese factories and specify the cheapest possible solutions I think.
>>26618583
The front guard cuts into the tyrewall at full lock if i hit a decent sized bump, but it doesn't happen often unless im in the hills/twisty's.
Yeah, i'm just more pissed because everyone rants and raves about how good Shine Auto is, yet everything i've got from them has never lined up properly.
It's making some pretty gnarly noises right now though and is off the road. Suspecting collapsed lifter, bent pushrod.
Gotta love mine
>>26616842
>mfw 150% tax on new cars in my country
Never owned a car and i have more than a 125k saved up
>>26616842
Fast cars > old cars > new slow cars =< old slow cars
>>26618731
Best of y2k
>>26618459
I assume you live in UK/EU?
Because a large part of the expense in USA is the insanely overpriced spare parts.
Same reason there are no cheap bmw/mercedes/land rover here unless they've been completely abused to shit.
>>26618753
>>26618731
Is that you, Frosty?
Just would like to say I hope you stay flippin, BALL TILL YA FALL
>>26618813
At 1000 an hour, my lawyer stays ballin. I'm nearing 200,000 in business, with him.
>>26618801
Aye, I'm in the EU, and I often get my parts from the UK because they have more suppliers, aftermarket parts and breaker yards there. Parts here are very well priced. There is one thing that makes owning a Jag here expensive, and that is if one leaves it to the dealerships or workshops, last time I heard a quoting from them somewhere it was surreal lol, and it's probably not far fetched to assume they may add a little extra onto the oem parts as well.
I had a brief look here, at their US site, http://www.sngbarratt.com
I just checked some random bits, maybe there's some sneakily expensive stuff around too, but it didn't seem too bad, X350 XJR 355mm brake discs at $67.65, a whole differential unit for $1500.
