This drug may help you to address some of your anxieties by allowing you to pause and reconsider whether the thoughts racing in your head about social phobia are valid and should be listened to. Also if you have the opportunity to access resources like a counsellor that is helpful. Or even online anxiety / depression resources are helpful - they provide phrases or techniques you can use if you find yourself in a depressed or fearful situation that impairs you from daily function.
