I guess my only difference in opinion is that I think that there are plenty of challenges and consequences in the modern age (global warming, financial illiteracy, war, social stratification, etc) that we should be thankful when we overcome one and not try to borrow problems from our past. Hey Sav, I'd like to preface this by saying that I absolutely understand that as a male I have a completely different view on this topic, but I disagree with the decision to make this video on some level.
I am a feminist, and the first thing that came to my head in regards to the "I'm not like other girls" line is the equally as prevalent "I'm not like other guys" line, in similar quirky movies. These boys/men are usually shown to be caring and loving which begs the question, "what are these 'other' guys like?". It quickly becomes apparent that these other guys are the antithesis of loving and caring, which, in all honesty is a pretty huge and demonising generalisation.
So what I'm trying to say I suppose, is that I agree with everything you've said, however in the interest of equality would it not be fair to touch on both these representations of 'other x'? Or is it maybe something you didn't feel comfortable covering because the "I'm not like other guys" line has never got you to feel like that?
