Who fucking cares, my childhood was a complete hell and my adulthood is really the only good part of my life.
I was aware extra early that the money my parents spent on me came from their work, and I always lived from my early childhood and beyond with the guilt that my parents had to slave in a job to get me that new toy I wanted. I always felt guilty about them giving me anything because I couldn't return the favor.
Now I make 100k a year, and probably in a few years, I will have made a higher salary than all of my dad's previous job salaries combined. Now I can get stuff without having a cloud of dread and guilt hang over me because I was a literal leech.
