/rev/ - Revision and Study General.

"its new" edition.

Inspired by this post and the thread it was posted to:
>>26577814

Decided to make a thread about this just to see how it plays out. Threw an image together on a whim.

Essentially this is a place for robots to come and collaborate in studying. I think it reinforces a positive motivation for some bots in uni or other schooling whereby they don't have many (or any) friends to help them - this is a place where you can come.

Don't have any permanent rules yet since this general is in its infancy, but to quote an anon, here's the idea.

>Even just showing people that you've tidied your desk, or showing some maths, or an essay, or a drawing and have people tell you well done.
>All just comfy working, people asking questions about others work, and asking for help.
>Lots of pictures, lots of encouragement

let's see that study work, /r9k/!
>>
Alright, I'll start.
I graduated in september and was unable to find a job because I have nothing but an empty resume and a shitty personality. I went back to uni because the inactivity was killing me, but I can not get past the feeling that I do not belong there.

Needless to say, studying is going terrible. I read the pages, but the words don't come in. I can't focus in class and I'm pretty sure my lecturers are catching on to the fact that I'm not registering any of what they're saying.
>life is really gonna start right now they said

If you're just reading your texts and the info isn't sticking, maybe you need to amp up your study system. Try this video out and hopefully this will help with your remembrance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VL2EBmknPpg

As for the understanding, my advice is to take your time. Google stuff if you feel the need. Focus can be rectified by possibly a better diet, sleeping pattern, self esteem etc. which we can discuss more here.

Also, congrats on being the first poster to /rev/.

Buried somewhere in my computer I think I still have an old .pdf with step-by-step guides for how to solve problems in an Engineering textbook. Statics or something, I think. If anyone wants it, I have no clue how to upload a 300+ page .PDF for sharing.

But those kind of guides are golden for learning, not just answer keys but demonstrated methods. It helped me not only pass the class, but understand the concepts and be able to pass the next class.

Anyone with those things might share those, either here or IRL, I have no idea how you'd go about looking for it via quasi-legal methods or if you could even just walk into a bookstore and buy one. Solutions guide, remember, not just answers guide.

What are you studying, and what sort of job were you looking for?

About to go to bed, I'll be posting here tomorrow when I start studying again

>pic related is what I've been doing today. 3.5 pages of notes, as well as gaining understanding from the physics anons in the last thread. I think it looks pretty neat

Perhaps you can upload the .pdf to a general fileshare site like dropbox? us anons can compile a list of study materials for all manners of topics.

I don't think I can regain my focus by the usual tactics. I've been in uni for 6 years, I know how it works. The point is that's I'm just genuinely uninterested in the subject at this point. It's just more of the same which I've already graduated in. Like I said, I'm not supposed to be there, I'm supposed to be done with uni. Yet here I am, making notes to kill the boredom of sitting at home. Unable to put myself to actually getting a job because I chicken out whenever life gets hard. I'd better just call my mom to see if she still has an empty room for me.
>>26583966
>internship
If only life was that easy. I might as well send in my suicide note which would probably be more convincing than my resume and application letter combined.

Doing some shitty essay on Borges gospel of mark, need help with it. The prompt is "how does the setting of the climax of the story continue to a change in the characters personal perspective? "

What was your major?
Literally just become a slave for some big name in the field and then get a letter of recommendation.

I'm a-tryin'. I've got no classes friday, so this is my last hurdle before being able to mellow out into a three day weekend.
Here's some study music that's always done wonders for me.

I recently read that because the internet generation has learnt how to multi task so well, our ability to focus on a single task is greatly diminished.

The more you practice single tasking, the better you'll be at keeping away the procrastination, and you'll get a lot of work done.

In everyday activities such as reading a book, playing vidya, going for a walk, having a shower etc. If you try and do just the current task, without looking at your phone, or flipping through tabs, you'll be able to study better.

Law school. Problem is there's a pretty dramatic over supply of law students in today's market. The only way to really distinguish yourself is by building up a decent resume with internships, field related jobs, etc. Of course, I didn't do jack shit because I was too busy jacking off to mediocre trap porn on tumblr most of my time, so my resume is more or less an empty sheet of paper. Getting the experience is my main concern, but I quickly found that no place that offers any type of internship or traineeship is willing to take you in if you're not a student.

I'm trying, but it's just... hard. I feel ashamed sending in my half-assed applications because I know that dozens of people are applying who are 10 times more qualified than I am. The only reason I'm even in uni is so I can even apply for internships which is what makes it so difficult to put in the effort...

It's the thread that /r9k/ needs

I'm tweaking on a study drug, learning about general relativity. Physics is really interesting. I could learn about this stuff all day. I love figuring out solutions to different models I build. It tests my brain skills and I've gotta work on my feet. There are a bunch of transforms that simplify non-linear systems, but they always have some drawback so I need to choose carefully. I really love applied math, because it's challenging. Each problem needs a different approach. The drugs help me remember really distant math techniques from a long time ago. From my sophomore diffy q class. When I finally get the solution, it's like pure bliss. Especially when it comes out to be a nicely formed function.

I'd like to start diving into quantum mechanics too. I know quite a bit about it already, but there are many subfields I'm not familiar with.
