However, for Americans, the notion of prom is a social rite of passage which is closely related to a "near socially ideal" time of virginity loss, that is, a time which is maximally acceptable to parents, the general public, and the students themselves - 16-18. I realize that that's old by today's normie standards, but if you point this out, you literally didn't read my above sentence: my point is that somewhere around here is when the larger society would "prefer" that you lose your virginity, since you've gotten it out of the way just in time for real adult life, and you're slightly less likely to have been stupid or knocked someone up.
The larger point being that whether it's at "prom" or not, somewhere right around here, you really should have have had sex with a grill.
