Been diagnosed with clinical depression for over a decade, been institutionalized in-patient twice and out-patient thrice. Here to share and trade coping techniques with other anons suffering from the classic issues:
>feel totally isolated and without human contact
>hate self
>no longer feel joy from hobbies
>constantly fantasize about and plan suicide
>wondering how it would be possible to live with this mindset for another 60 years
>no economic hope for future
and of course
>tfw no gf

It's because depression is played out. Everyone has it. You aren't special or unique because you have depression. Get on with your life.
there's podcasts tho for real

meh, I'm really just looking for tips others may have.

I actually agree with you, before the age of pharmaceuticals and advances in psychology sad people and crazies were either locked up or general failures that no one really paid attention to. That still doesn't change that some people are wired to be miserable and self loathing, just the norm. Still something worth working on though.
Lifting helps, but it's everything comes right back after waking up the next day.

It'd be easier if it were possible to just detach myself from my humanity, I recognize that in many instances I'm my own worst enemy; particularly due to my own refusal to socialize being a social creature.

so you want, like, escapism?

I couldn't maintain the motivation, more of an escapist myself. Rather than stay focused on one area though I make sure I diversify it to make sure I don't lose interest and begin cryptic introspection on my own life.

just posted that. I'm not really sure what I'm looking for, I can already weather the storms of intense perpetual self loathing or vast emptiness. I just thought I'd make the thread to see if their were another other unique techniques people had to get by.
very much an original comment.

The guy in the gif, did he died?

never found the true source for the video but the guy who posted it initially said he jumped off once the people got too close.
