People repeat stories they've read because they want to find out more, maybe, or some sort of morbid curiousity. They retell it as happening to them because they think it'll be more believable, I guess. And thus the internet equivalent of urban legends spread.

I'd like to say that it was horrible, but to be honest it was the coolest shit I'd seen on any family vacation. People were screaming, grabbing their kids and running. It was GTA IRL

Fair enough, though I've tried that test and didn't really have those results myself, maybe I was doing it wrong, eh?
I've just always entertained the thought because in a way it just seems way too convenient to have the supernatural explained away with tests, with people more often than not just agreeing with it without testing it themselves. I know its true of some things, but I can't help but want to question it in other areas.
