The calculator is so old, they don't even make the batteries anymore, but luckily i found some other ones that fit. The calculator has a solar panel, but that's useless to me because i needed it for an exam, which is generally in a window-less exam room (don't ask me why).

This CD of Ottawa-area country singer Bob King's 1960-'63 recordings.

Before that, an exceedingly rare collection of country/hillbilly boogie artist Lattie Moore's 1953-'63 Starday/King recordings. Snagged it for 30 bucks, while a sealed copy costs over twice that on Amazon.

Lately I've been on a big classic country kick. A couple weeks ago I bought Wynn Stewart's complete 30-year recorded legacy in a ten-disc box set.

Not sure. I have 12k saved up with another 2-3k in knives I've collected I could sell if I wanted to, with a friend who owes me 1.2k + might also buy my WoW account for 2k. Not bad money for someone who has never held a real job in their life.

I sold pilots and other in-game services for money on World of Warcraft.

I'd apply for NEETbux as well until I get a job but since I come from an upper-middle class family they'd prob be mad as fuck for me gaming the system, so I just let it be.
>>
>>26524063
Well you can look around for apartments and shit online. Looking doesn't cost anything, and you can do a lot of perusing. It'll also give you an idea of how much money you'll need per month.

Say a bachelor is 400/m. Make sure to account for amenities and internet or whatever. Say that comes up to 600/m. (I don't know where you live, it would be more expensive for me because a bachelor for me is 700/m+200 for everything else, but you get the idea).

Then check the prices of shit you eat, and get an idea of how much that is. Once you've figured out all your expenses, look for an easy, steady job you can do (like security guard, seriously that shit is perfect /r9k/ job) or someone that fills shelves after hours in stores or something.

You can then get a place, enough money to get by with a job that isn't very hard, and your savings on sweet guuuns.

I live in Norcal, in a nice area so I'd imagine it's highish unless I moved to a shittier area.

Being from a good family I'm sure for the first while my parents would help me with costs, so I'm not terribly worried about that.

As far as nighttime security guard or something, how easier are those to find? I keep hearing how those are the GOAT jobs for people who hate social contact. Take note that I have no job history but have no qualms living on an inverted sleep cycle.

>>
>>26524224
Ads online/in paper are pretty good.

I'm a machinist because reasons, and it's fucking great to be night shift because nobody wants to work it. Big shop, you're alone with one or two other guys, no drama, and keeping shit going stops other people from talking to you.

Literally left the fuck alone for 10 hours a day, four days a week. Three day weekends, over 20 bucks per hour.

Does it even pay well? I'm kinda reluctant to go to college (even though I know for a fact my dad would pay for it in full without hesitation) because I'm not great in rigid learning environments.

I kinda wish things like apprenticeships still existed so I learn hands-on instead of get some degree while also doing a bunch of useless bullshit like taking english courses and other worthless crap.
>>
>>26524369
Most security guard jobs are like 13/h or 14/h in my area.

Hospital night security is comfy/10 because you're usually guarding some passed out drunk guy and you get to do homework. It's what I did working through college for machining.
>>
>>26524405

Even considering it's my first job it wouldn't be bad.

But chances are I'll have to go to college to learn something to prevent myself from getting shit pay for life. Fuck it.
>>
>>26524503
Trades man. Cheap to learn, fairly lucrative to have as a job, and most of the trades = people leaving you the fuck alone.
>>
>>26524520

Like trade schools?
>>
Some Dawn dish soap
>>
>>26524566
Yeah, colleges have trades program and trade schools too obviously.

My machining semesters were like 1/8th of the price of colleges/uni courses. Paid for them with security, got to study on the job, and now I'm making 24/h. It isn't that much money but people leave me alone, I can go through a week and only speak maybe 12 actual words.
>>
>>26524611

Sounds interesting, I'll have to check it out. I hear some things are strangely profitable, like being a plumber or one of the people who work at blood banks drawing blood (they make like 20/h apparently I think?).
>>
>>26524646
Used to know a guy that did plumbing for industrial shit like furnaces and boilers, he made like 60/h. Welders make a fuckton of money too, but shit is not comfy. Machinist is kinda comfy (watch your back tho ;_;), electrician is pretty comfy.
>>
I got a burgundy skirt
>>
>>26524681

Why do you need to watch your back as a machinist? Job security or something? People fucking w/you?

And yea, something like a plumbing/electrician seems like something good. I hear an extended family member is working security for one of those vehicles which transfers money between banks, makes like 30/40 an hour, but of course there's the danger some nog is gonna try to jump it. In the area I live I doubt that would ever be an issue, though.
>>
>>26524742
Oh, lol I meant the back thing as in physically. As a machinist, you're bent over a lot. Stretching, core exercises, bending with your legs, all of that is important. My lower back flares up here and there, I have to take care of it.

Armored bank stuff is pretty gud too, especially if you're inna /k/ stuff.
>>
>>26524781

I'd imagine as long as you live in a majorly white area it's a cushy as fuck job with great pay.

But yea, I'll look into vocational schools. In fact, one of my sister's old friends has a mother who's a dentist, could possibly have an in there if I asked. Otherwise I'm sure I could have little trouble finding a night time security gig since both of my parents work at hospitals, my mother at a hospital-hospital and my dad at a diagnostic hospital.
>>
>>26524851
A nice white area, maybe.

I dunno if I'm out of the ordinary here, but I grew up in a pretty diverse area, and white trash tweakers are far and away the people I find the scariest. I'll take a gang of Crips or Bloods around me before I'll take a bunch of white tweakers.
