That's a very naive view of the idea of heat-death. (I say that in the least hostile way possible.) Put simply: our planet does not rely on the ambient heat of the universe (of which, there really isn't any in a manner of speaking), and even if it did, the universe isn't really just slowly freezing, at least not in any meaningful rate.

There is no 'heating up' space by the form of galaxies or the likes. Space doesn't have fucking heat or cold, it doesn't have a temperature, it's a fucking void. The stars aren't heating up the universe like a gorrilion stoves shoved into a hangar. The heat is simply being transformed into a less chaotic form of energy, a more stable and even form, which is just simple low heat. So in the end all there will be is planets flung out of orbit, black holes and a fucking mist of low energy photons covering the universe. The universe won't lose anything, just transform.
