Try I Don't Like Mondays by The Boomtown Rats
I know that feel, except with guitar.
I find the best way is to forgo boring lessons and just find a song you like, and learn to play the hell out of it. Then smooth out the kinks and learn some chords, rinse and repeat.
You should find the thing that naturally helps cope with sadness
If it's a chore to play don't bother, try something else
Try chopins prelude number 4 in e minor op
Somebody once told me the world is gonna owe me
Just play something in D minor, the saddest key. Look up Lick My Love Pump.

The Metamorphosis pieces by Philip Glass have a somber note to them.
They range in difficulty from 'piss easy" to "Oh God why is there blood all over the piano"
Start with number one and work your way up.
