What the fuck do people do when they go to a bar? Why do young people think going to bars is the most insane over the top thing to do?
I'm getting dragged out to another bar by my housemates and I can't help but thinking why.

Alcohol makes the world spin and the stupidest shit seem like the funniest thing ever and the average events like getting greasy food the best event ever.
People go there partially because it's a highly stimulating environment and will bring out the gregarious, high-energy side of anyone who actually has one, and partially the alcohol, crowds and loud noise are a compensatory mechanism for people who aren't socially competent enough to entertain themselves with conversation or other activities.
Basically, it's fun and no one will realize that you're actually boring. That's why people do it.
