Any of you got a home gym?
I want to get into lifting, but I'm literally too autistic to join a gym.
I read the /fit/ sticky and I don't think I need too much to build a little gym for SS.
A barbell and a dumbbell + weights and a bench would theoretically be enough, right?
A powerrack is probably also important for squats, but they look realy expensive.
Pls help a skeleton out, bros.

>A barbell and a dumbbell + weights and a bench would theoretically be enough, right?
yeah anon, that'd be good enough to start with
you may want a power rack later on etc, but worry about that once you get there
>>26434318
Squatting high weight is impossible without a rack because theres no way to get the bar on your back safely, so unless you forego squatting you're better off joining a real gym. If you don't mind not doing legs though, then a barbell, dumbbells and a bench is all you need. Just make sure to pick a routine that doesn't include machines.

You don't need a power rack. A pro half rack from Fitness Gear will do the job.
>>26434353
Sweet, thanks. Is an olympic bar enough, or do I also have to buy a curl bar?
>>26434375

I've looked around and I found a rack for $300. I've got the funds but is it really worth it?
Pic related.
im gonna build a home gym.
you don't need dumb bells for anything, you can do everything with barbell at first.
barbell, retractable bench, obviously the weights, they have modular squat racks, basically just 2 stands that you set up that can be adjusted and a chin up bar.
you can hit everything with just those.
if you think you're hot shit, you don't even need a retractable bench, you can just clean and press for shoulders. clean and press is better, but it takes more energy away from isolating your shoulders.
>>26434427
waste of money, unless you plan on squatting 400 lbs+
get this instead
>>26434480
Shit, thanks.
>>26434427
you can curl with dumbbells, no need for a curl bar
>>26434480
mind that this doesnt have safeties so if the bar falls off your back its gonna damage your floor
>>26434645
>if the bar falls off your back its gonna damage your floor
Does that happen a lot?
>>26434645
if the bar falls off your back you are a fucking moron. it has safety catches on there, but not designed for a drop, only designed if you fail and can't stand back up, but yeah, you're right about that caveat. price is worth it though, just be careful.

>Sweet, thanks. Is an olympic bar enough, or do I also have to buy a curl bar?
dumbbells or a bar, doesn't matter that much, what you need is some iron and a bench.
You are all a bunch of fucking dopey cunts.
Been doing SS for 9 months, 160kg squat, use my two wheelie bins from outside and drag them-inside the garbage when i go to workout. They are basically my "Power rack".
Never had a single problem. And didn't spend a fucking cent.

>Does that happen a lot?
Not really, but it is a possibility. If you're gonna be lifting in a garage with a concrete floor its no big deal but wooden floors don't take falling barbells all that well, speaking from experience.

/r/ing that /fit/ picture of a rack made of two wooden ladders

>/r/ing that /fit/ picture of a rack made of two wooden ladders
Yes, because a wheelie bin that is made out of very hard plastic that can withstand that weight is the same as a wooden ladder. Dumb cunt, shut the fuck up and stop crying over bullshit and go lift weights DYEL.
>bb-bbbut iis dis power rack g-good???
>bb bbb nn this???
>>26434770
spotted the poor Slavshit
>>26434770
you should also say you're using water bottles instead of weights
>>26434796
Poor slavshit who out-lifts you in literally every compound lift, because I'm not a dumb faggot crying over not having a power-rack so i can squat 40kg.
lol. OP don't even bother kiddo. You won't stick to the SS.

Get used weights and clappers from your local knockoff store. Get them to fit olympic bars as the barbell is olympic.

I have a elaberate home gym as well with about 120 different items.
I own that power rack and squat 550 in it and it has held up. The other two items are cheaper versions of products I own since I'm not poor and could afford higher priced products.
>>26434318
Imagine how I feel OP. I'm at a military academy and there are loads of jacked NCOs that use the gym every day, then there's me with my little babyweights.
I still go though, because I'm not a pussy like you.

I'm a SL fagget
>squat - I do high bar but don't position the bar properly on my shoulders, I also fuck up the squat often on heavier weight
>BP - Can't keep my shoulder-blades together and fuck up elbows
>OHP - Have trouble lifting the bar up
>Rows - Can't pull with elbows/shoulders right and can't do a full set to my chest
>DL - Heavy weights hurt the skin on my hand, have to resort to double grip
