and Man That You Fear by Marilyn Manson, less of a hate anthem, and slower and melancholic, I think it was actually based on his own feelings of being an outsider in his own family after becoming a hate figure. The music video has a sad story to it too.

By offing yourself, you ultimately give in to its pain.
Truly a waste of potential substantial experience to be a defeatist. The suffering serves not to obstruct, but enhance that potential, given its utilized.
