Honestly, if you can't figure out a shop door which usually has a clear, one-word, instruction, I wouldn't bother with acoustic guitar.
Started playing bass at 14, guitar at 17. Picked up keyboard when I was 18, but my keyboard got stolen a few years later and I never got another one. I'm pretty good at hand percussion since I started drumming on desks in 7th grade and never really stopped.
I play guitar at a somewhat mediocre level, i used it more as a tool to aid my singing and songwriting which I'm pretty good at desu
I play the viola.
Been playing since I was 8.
32 now.
Haven't practiced regularly though.
For those who don't know, if you don't practice a stringed instrument almost every day you pretty much fall back in skill level to sounding like you've only been playing for a year or two.
Main reason is, the position of the finger on the string must be exact for every single note.

Yeah, I still KNOW how to play violin but it sounds like shit when I pick it up.
What made you pick viola? I had to play one for a year in high school when my violin broke because it was the only instrument lying around the class. Because no one wants to play viola.
Seriously. There were three other violists. And had to learn a new clef that is only useful if you play viola. What the fuck.
