I've always liked fish. Especially big fish. They're really cool. Here's a documentary on groupers. Get off this shithole for awhile and watch something educational

I couldn't handle more than about 15 seconds of that cunts voice but I just muted it and it was lovely.

Underrated thread.
Pleasant to see threads like these appreciating what so many pass off as phantom.
The sea is magnificent, especially what lies deep within (at least the mystery of it is interesting).
Perhaps I'm an autist for it, having watched an hour long documentary about barnacles (thanks to Sarte, emphasizing the significance of a common thing's strangeness).
Deep sea-giganticism has me wondering what king of huge aquatic creatures reside near the floor. The possibility of living to see the day where many of these creatures are discovered reinforces my vigor to persist.

It's appearance may not be attractive, but its repulsiveness is somewhat engaging. To think nature could mother such a thing is cruel, yet necessary for its contrast to other creatures.
Makes me wonder how repugnant a pregnant woman would appear in the eyes of some super evolved alien.

Makes me wonder about why life exists the way it does

Why would anything evolve any other way than the objectively superior way
>Porcupine is literally untouchable by even apex predators in its habitat
>Deer are helpless, even with their speed they can be outrun

Probably a shitty example but it seems like some animals just get absolute shit ends of the stick when it comes to evolution

There aren't many examples because they go extinct obviously but why would evolution take that course

It's not really about survival of the fittest, more so it's survival of the "good enough". There's little purpose for these creatures to transfigure if they're capable of surviving as they are, viviparous at a consistent rate.

holy shit is that pic fake? fucking amazing seeing huge fish around not just the famous ones like whales or sharks shit. Weird monsterous things like octopus or narwales that just look out of this world. I thought all the massive fish like that were extinct.
