Death metal - Death and Obituary
Classical baroque music for guitar and Gregorian chant (makes me feel divine)
I watched Johnny Cash live at San Quentin the other day and imagined I was a prisoner and my life was even worse than it possibly can be
and right now Gwen Stefani https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubvV498pyIM

I've been listening to this song in particular on repeat the last few days. MF DOOM is the only artist I really feel like listening to no matter the circumstances and what mood I'm in, his music always speaks to me on some level that I don't feel with any other artist except maybe Flying Lotus. I don't know why. His music is literally keeping me from killing myself just by keeping me occupied and distracted when everything feels bad and nothing else feels worth it

What a beautiful picture! I'm from that area of the country and absolutely love the scenery.

I exclusively listen to Conor Oberst/Bright Eyes. I think he's the only reason I haven't killed myself lately.
Cassadaga is the album I've been really into recently.
A lot of /mu/ core shit like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MqRNSwXQUwA
along with pic related.
Idk whats keeping me going to be honest. All of my friends are gone, and the ones I've sort of made in college are leaving soon too. The only girl who's even remotely connected with me on an emotional level is moving away after this semester and everything feels fucking meaningless.

The artist is Jasper Francis Cropsey. There's something about his works which evoke serenity. I always use his art as my desktop BG for that. Pic related is my current, had to resize it though as it's rather large in size.
You all have horrible music tastes. Holy shit.

are the Initial D tracks actually considered good within the genre of Eurobeat, or is it just meme music?

Initial D tracks are definitely good stuff, possibly the 'cream of the crop' of the Eurobeat genre. However, there are plenty good Eurobeat songs that aren't featured in Initial D.

I just don't have the willpower to kill myself. contrary to popular belief, suicide takes a lot of courage. it is not the "easy way out"

Tristan and Isolde makes me cry during each listen. It reminds me that I can still feel.
All other music (except a few Schoenberg pieces) pales in comparison.

Oooh yeah, New Bermuda is fucking amazing. Sunbather was great too, but it was like Loveless with the intro being the peak. New Bermuda feels more like an album that demands you listen to every second every time.
Impossible to find this song on Youtube that isn't sped up. The acoustic version is way better but I cannot find a decent youtube version of it. Not really a fan of the anime, but this song is fantastic.
https://youtu.be/7gSiLOCBikE
I do not know what it is about this piece. I have had it on my playlist for nearly 8 years or more. It doesn't get old, and it is a wonderful piece that reminds me of many things. One of those things, was to not give up on living. It reminds me of a lot of cheesy bullshit from anime too, but sometimes that is all you need at the end of the day to carry on to the next. Hope.I am a fan of orchestral and piano music.
https://youtu.be/qDgk3y-KsfI
Then you got songs like these, that make me want to chill for a while just to watch the end of days come, so I can not go quietly into that good night.
https://youtu.be/59g5R8rwqpY
At first I really overlooked this album, but lately I've been really getting into it, makes me wish they put out something like this again instead of their latest work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXV9hRio50k
Also, this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-IlGUlKoEic they're always my go-to band.
I'm still around because there's so much other shit to discover. And collect. I find some purpose in that, if nothing else.
