Anyone else feel as if everything SHOULD go terrible for the world. I am not talking about Isis, or a war, I am talking about volcanoes. There is a gigantic boiling magma deposit underneath Yellowstone park and its overdue for its eruption. I want to see it erupt and destroy the entire western united states and cause untold damage. I want this because I want there to be a scenario where the wild west is reopened and so I can live out my fantasies of exploring the ruins of civilization. I want to be a scavenger in the wastes, selling off valuable artifacts from who knows where back to some of the few remaining functioning cities left in America. Anyone else want to see some similar scenario play out? It seems like it would be so fun while it lasts
No, but I do sometimes hope for some kind of disaster or alien invasion so that I don't feel so aimless.

I know what you mean. I wish that there was a goal or some sort of overall effort that is our there that I could join and make a difference. Unfortunately none exists. Example, maybe aliens take over the planet and I am part of the resistance force or something similar.
I prefer to day dream about being one of the few that's immune to a virus that wipes out most of the world.
This is why people love all sorts of post-apocalyptic fiction. I used to sneak into this big abandoned insane asylum complex near where I lived with my friends and it was always amazing
