One highschool I went to had a entire page with a shitty photoshop and a low res photo of a kid who killed himself. Another school I went to just announced it in the morning and dedicated some shitty bench with his name on it and a dr seuss quote. Nobody really cared and joked about them after they died.

Chances are high they'd make tribute videos even after high school just to feel like they made a "difference". This was some guy I went to high school with who OD'ed. No one did shit while he was killing himself, but happily made tributes after he died.
