Can someone explain Tor and the "deep web" for me? I don't understand this concept. I know Tor is called an "onion" though I don't know what that means. Does it "reveal" some hidden parts of the web?

Tor is a search engine that allows you to use a type of web that's not accessible via normal methods. Tor links end with .onion because tor stands for the onion router. Most stuff on the deep web isn't so bad, you can buy guns and drugs and stuff, but it's pretty fucked yo if you know where to look.
