Best melee will always be a razor blade. Anything else is too big and would get in the way of your ranged weapon, a razor blade will cut anything close to you.
If say both ranged weapons are capable, and it is melee on melee, a razor blade would just slit your throat as you raise your hammer or axe whatever. If something like that hit you it would not really do that much damage and then you get to cut their artery.

Most likely a kukri machete. I own a few and use them to cut bamboo and other yardwork tasks. They can chop the shit out of anything and can be thrown with a little practice. Realistically I'd never throw a knife at someone, it's just not that effective. I only do it for fun. I can also throw chopsticks fairly well. I also own several katana and have practiced with them, but I'm not that good. I'm asian and do a little martial arts unlike the countless neckbeards who obsess over katana and shit like that.

That implies wearing armour and doing actions that will eventually reduce the enemy's moral, like formations whom will march at the sound of war drums. But, of course, this isn't a open field battle. The broadsword you postet is used in unarmored fencing situations, whereas the straight sword is used in armored combat where neither combattant can move very quickly. Speed isn't as important as is penetrating power and you can hack better with it than you can with a light broadsword.

Its a magazine feed Russian Winchester. It uses the same ammo as the mosin nagant. Plus, it supports a bayonet too. In case the minorities get too close.

Why not just get a spear and a shield. Keeps you at a distance and doesn't take a lot of work to stab. A large and lightweight shield (maybe a swat shield) can protect you from projectiles and frontal attacks.
Mine will be a laser gun with infinite ammunition, it can auto aim and turn to the next target if im unaware of it so no one can get past me. Also it has an inbuilt force-field so no other inferior guns can get me.

Normally Swords require you to be physical fit and agile for close combat. Because of this, many armies insisted on arming the main troops with spears and pikes. That's when your short sword comes in handy, If they get past your spear you jab em with your short sword while blocking your other half of your body with a shield and then you finish him off with a fatal stab once the enemy is incapacitated. Then get your spear and and slowly march forward with you spear pointed at a reasonable distance.
