If you really take your time that's 100 words every hour if you start now, and 500 words should really only take you half an hour to an hour at most with research, sources, your bibliography, and proof reading. Maybe a little longer if it's harder to find sources, but any assignment that's 500 words long is most likely centred around a broad topic that's easy to write about anyway.
