hey you guys know how it's a cliche that "everyone dies alone" because even if there are people around you when you die, the only one "passing on" is you, you're going alone, dying alone even if you're surrounded by people.
but then isn't it also true that if everyone dies alone, if every single person shares that experience with us, then doesn't that make us all closer than we could possibly be simply by occupying a nearby chunk of space? Death only "exists" in the same way that shadows "exist". Shadows are merely spaces where less light is hitting a surface than around it, and death is merely a duration where the once highly organized patterns of life falter and begin to decay.
