You can always give linux a try. You won't be able to use some window programs however but you get a comfy operating system to shitpost and do productive work on. Some distros can even run on my old netbook.

Its very ammo picky, you have to use decent .22lr ammo with it. It won't feed hollow points either. When it does feed though, its feeds very well. Pretty accurate for its unusual shape. The trigger is not what I consider the best but its not bad either. I bought it to carry around when I bike. Your needs might be different however. Personally, you can always go with a reliable 10/22 rifle. You can even get more customization options with the 10/22 than the Ar7. The Henry Ar7 is absolutely better than the Charter Arms variant I will say that. Its not very expensive either which is also nice.
