I can tell you've never talked to a trans person about this. If you had you would know that transitioning is the proper treatment for gender dysphoria. The reason so many people think trans people are crazy and irrational is not because they are trans. Trans people are typically suffering from severe depression and anxiety which stems from not being able to express their gender. Treating the depression and anxiety is important, but treating the dysphoria is also important and the only way to properly do that is to transition.
