I think pretty much everyone has at least one thing they're better than average. Most people simply either a) don't care, b) never figure out
For example, I found out I'm good at drawing. Never gave a shit, and I'd gladly trade my artistic abilities for a better understading of maths (I'm in STEM, and I barely passed Calculus. Failed once, had to repeat shit). Still it's a nice icebreaker, since bitches sometimes ask me to draw stuff.
Just try new things until you find out what you're good at. Also develop, hobbies, even if you're not good, you can get yourself an acceptable level of expertise with pratice. For example In my free time I like to play drums and code small robotic shit on Arduino. I didn't pick up those things because I was super good at it, I was average and since I started I improved a lot

I know it's the cool new meme to hate on smart but lazy types but I think it kicks ass. 4.1 high school GPA not really trying a, straight into community college nursing program, not really trying and finished with 3.0 and honors society, then straight into a comfy cardiac step-down nightshift after putting in my dues working psych nights.
All my life I've lived on cruise control, and it's paid off. I'm working 3 nights a week for $72k/yr. No need to dress up, I shave my head so it's just shower a scrubs. I hate driving so I live two miles from the hospital. I think I get gas about every 3 months, I ride my bike everywhere. I suggest all lazy or dumb guys do nursing. Awesome pay, unbeatable hours, and it's an easy job as long as you avoid med-surg or day shift.
I probably could have been a doctor, and still could be an APN, but why bother? I spend my money as fast as I can, wasting it on frivolous bullshit yet I still with up socking away about 30% of my pay in mutual funds, and that's after maxing out 401k too.
I don't even know what I'm going to do in retirement. Probably the same shit as now. I went skiing once. I think I was on the slopes all of one day and spent the rest of the week in the lodge getting drunk and chatting with other drunks. Vacations are fucking retarded. I can get drunk and eat out in my own city and the liquor store clerks and restaurant staff already know my name and what I'm buying.
Took Global in CSGO after 250 wins, have never played CS before, I have to admit I'm much better than average player, but I'd really trade this for being able to study faster and better, how retarded it sounds, but I spent more time studying than playing.
