I've been on both sides. I'm 27 and from ages 20-25 I lived that sweet NEET life baby. SSDI funded my wants and mommybux paid for my apartment, car insurance, power. I have wealthy patents and I'm privileged in that way. I was able to afford pretty much anything I wanted.
Long story short it all fell apart very abruptly. Mom and Dad cut me off and I lost all my benifits due to not filling out something for them. I had 1 month to come up with rent. I got a job cooking at a small diner up the road making fucking 9.00 hr!!!! How people survive on this idk. It's barely enough to pay the bills. However the feeling you get knowing that everything you have you earned and your survival depends on yout responsibility is rewarding. It's a singular feeling that I'm glad to know. Work sucks sure and if I could choose I'd pick my old life but working for a living is not as bad as you think.
