>>
What are you reading, anon? I swear if you're just reading GoT instead of watching it I will be very disappointed in you.

Also this>>26135258. It's really not that impressive.
>>
>>26135289
>GoT
>implying I'm a normie
I only read books that deal with loneliness and depression like "no longer human" for examplw
>>
>>26135258
>being this mad that other people have productive hobbies
What are you reading, OP?
>The History of Western Philosoph
>A Canticle for Liebowitz
>Debt: The First 5000 Years
>>
>>26135029
Same reading books on survival so I can go disappear someday and live off the land. Are you also trying to quit internet in general?
>>
Highway to eternity

>tfw when you're trying to escape the infinities(normie sjws)

I enjoy both. It's all about moderation my dude.
>>
>>26135258
I don't want to impress nobody doing this. I just want to be better in conversations and gain knowledge. Sometimes I read loud to practice talking...
>>
>>26135029
Reading books to impress your non-existing friends, nice.

Pls lets escape together anon :3

I've only read 7 books in my entire life.

I usually listen to audiobooks and I'm currently listening to Infinite Jest. I got lost in thought for a while and missed a bunch and now I don't know wtf is going on so I'll have to rewind a couple of hours. That happens quite a lot for me
>>
>>26135400
stop projecting you stupid faggot
>The History of Western Philosoph
fucking kek
>>
Ok? I usually pop my kindle on for an hour or so before going to bed.

I just finished reading "The Sun Also Rises", and am now reading "A Lion's Tale: Around the World in Spandex" cause I love biographies and wrasslin.

I usually read about 50-100 books a year, but I wasn't aware I was supposed to brag.

So yeah OP I read 78 books last year, yeah im kewl

This is actually a good book.

Would recommend "Tunnel in the Sky" by Robert Heinlein, if you like fiction. Very easy to read and it doesn't have these retarded additional love plot, which is good.
>>
>>26136500
So 1-2 books per week? I don't believe this shit...
Also if this is true, fuck off normie
>>
>>26136500

>he fell for the kindle meme
>>
>>26136809
I spend at least 7hrs a week reading before bed. I can usually read 1-1.5 pages a minute (dependent entirely on what im reading).
So 70ish pages a night x 7 nights = 490pages

>>26136843
I like my Kindle Paperwhite. Easy as fuck to pirate to, and only cost me $60.

You get lost sometimes while reading? Or you can focus 100% on the book while you read? In addition, at what age you began to read?
>>
>Mostly only read fantasy
>Get sucked into a series
>Spend all day reading
>Around book a day depending on length
>Have dreams about it
>Finish series
>Come out of it in a daze
>Takes like a week to fully recover
Wheel of Time was the worst. I had some really vivid dreams about it, and it took 2-3 weeks of intense reading where I completely lost track of time and stuff. I have trouble pacing myself.
I can never get very interested in history or philosophy books though.

>>26136896
I don't like reading before bed. It keeps me up, but it's made my mom unable to read without getting sleepy.

>>26136843
I've pirated and read more than enough books to justify my own kindle purchase.
>>
>>26135029
I don't understand why the things in the picture are the way they are, but I like it.
>>
>>26136966
I can almost always 100% focus on reading. I honestly focus much better reading than playing video games. I have such a vivid imagination that after a page or two I go into this weird state where I am reading, but I am almost picturing it in my head at the same time that I forget I am reading.

I've been reading since I was like 8 (Goosebumps and shit), and I guess I was always a good reader.

We had to take those Stanford Achievement Tests every year in school and I placed Post High School level every year starting in 6th grade, and got a 760 on my Reading SAT and a 650 on the Literature SAT Subject Test

>>26137003
I used to have that problem when i read in bed, but now I sit on the couch when I read and then go to bed and it went away

What websites do you use to pirate books anons?
>>
>>26137347
Google or a public tracker usually. /lit/ has a wiki and you can find a picture that lists a lot of sites to pirate books from. Most of them are shut down though.
>>
>>26137414
ive been using tpb for some stuff but it doesnt have as many books as i would have expected
>>
>>26137455
Public trackers mostly have the meme books in the top seeded lists. "How to hypnotize yourself to get a bigger dick and learn a language in 8 minutes" type shit. You could try KAT. If that doesn't work, just figure out which book you want, make sure there's an ebook version (check amazon or something) and search something like "[book title] mobi download" or "[book title] epub" and then use calibre to convert/sync it to your device. Basically the same way you would find music, assuming you don't use a private tracker.
>>
>>26137218
How many hours do you sleep?
>>
>>26137794
6 on average
>>
Started reading this yesterday. I can't feel sympathy for the narrator because he whines so much while women send him love letters.

The secret to enjoying video games is to stop jumping from game to game, especially if you play long games like JRPGs. But don't invest all your gaming into one title like WoW, when you get sick of it you'll get sick of gaming as a whole.
>>
>>26137455
just search for #bookz
that's an irc channel with bots, they find almost everything
>>
>>26135029
Reading won't change anything for me I was born a loser

Why do so many people think quitting vidya is essential? Surely you can enjoy it and still lead a normal life?
>>
>>26138299
Reading can help you improving your communication skills, not vydia.
>>
>>26138422
Yeah, but you can read and play vidya, anon.
