Feels great, I'm going to encrypt all my porn so no one when can talk shit when I die.

Everything is encrypted for me. The os and externals. Can't have anyone knowing my fetish.

I need to stop downloading shit.

You can't help me anymore, I'm a lost cause

I've been thinking about encrypting the OS, after memorizing a few long passwords I feel like encrypting shit should be default.

No one could imagine how one gigabyte could be filled, at one time.
Audio and video quality escalate.
>>
>>26076212
The size of anime is easily doubled/trippled from just 10 years ago. Still an incredible amount of anime.
>>
>>26076252
>incredible amount

Not really. Series batches can oten be 30-40GB if you're an autist who downloads the biggest one. Hell even seasonal anime adds up fast. 20 shows, 12 episodes each, roughly 400mb per episode.
>>
1tb is absolutely nothing farn, a single anime series can be 50GB
>>
>>26076108
You only get Coalgirls stuff or something?
>>
How do I tell if the anime is english dubbed or not, I hate downloading then finding it isnt. Kickass Torrents btw but it doesnt say
>>
>>26076212
In reality I only have about 200 series saved at an average of 5GB a piece.
But if you download everything in 1080p10bit FLAC poorly compressed files you can easily fill up a terabyte drive with only 50 series.

I'm pretty picky when it comes to releases and often watch obscure stuff, couldn't find some shows on bakabt and nyaa torrents would be dead, so AB is the best option for me

BakaBT doesn't even archive anime in 1080p half the time because of the autist mods

Does anyone else really love watching anime, but they just can't bring themselves to start new ones? I can only bring myself to do it once every three months and I am always so anxious to start watching a new anime, but once I do, I always enjoy it. Do I have autism?

Same desu. I just rewatch things I like and its really hard for me to find something that I will be willing to start, even though I like almost everything that I do watch. And yes its autism, everything is autism.
>>
>>26077890
It's incredibly simple you fucking moron. You literally just buy a new HD and plug in a couple wires and fasten 4 screws. It would take 10 minutes of looking at a guide for you to understand the process.

>>
>>26077890
>no clue how to upgrade or use more than one drive in my pc
You literally just plug it in.
If it's a usb external hard drive plug it into the usb slot on the computer.
If it's an internal harddrive open your computer and connect one of the free power cables to the hard drive then plug a sata cable into the harddrive and into a corresponding sata slot on the motherboard.
>>
>>26077987
watching anime in anything higher than 480p is like upscaling ps1 games... -_- for almost every single anime there will be negligible improvement. the anime art style is inherently "smooth shaded" with little detail or texture - in other words; the video bitrate buffer doesnt fill as easilly as... something like cgi or camera video.

as long as the subtitles are legible ... there is no reason to watch a "high defination" anime.
>>
>>26078258
I-i should rephrase as I don't know how to access it in Windows, how do i tell the pc where to save files? if the limit is reached will it automatically save to the bigger one if windows boots from the smaller one?
>>
>>26078266
720 is noticeably a lot better than 480 you pleb, it's 720 and 1080 that are rarely any different

its simple, each hard drive is recognized as its own "volume", which for practical purposes you can consider an "HDDs" volume as its "folder".

>how to access it in Windows
w-w-what? Each drive has it's own letter, the OS hard drive is usually C:, all the others are other hard drives.
>how do i tell the pc where to save files
When you're saving or installing new files target the hard drive you want them in...
if you want to save space on one drive drag your files onto the other one and delete the ones on your first drive.
If you're torrenting go to preferences and pick the drive letter and location of your target hard drive.

How are you on 4chan and this computer illiterate?

>>
>>26078454
well not necessarily, if you added a new harddrive to an existing install of windows you'll probably have to manually set up the volume from within the "disk management" section of the window "Computer management"
>>
You guys really need to lay off those bloated releases with their audio encoded in FLAC, or get a blu-ray burner instead.

A blank drive won't show up right away, it needs to be partitioned first.

720p has been the industry standard for awhile. Your argument would be understandable if the year was 2007, but it's not.

The differences are even greater when one source is DVD and the other BD.

>>26078554
FLAC doesn't add that much to the file size. For example, I just removed the FLAC audio from a 2.41 GB file (single episode) and it changed to 2.28 GB.

Film takes up more space. There's grain and the image is never entirely still.
>>
>>26078947
Old anime produced on film always takes up more space because of the grain etc. You have to DNR it etc., but that would mean a loss of details

I have probably around 3 TB or so, but a lot of that stuff is outdated and not in HD. I'll probably need to upgrade my storage once I begin a full HD upgrade of my collection, lots of shows are getting some great 1080p treatments these days.
>>
>>26079351
>tfw no database or anything to keep track of when your TVrips finally have fully subbed BDs so you can replace it
If only I had some programming knowledge
>>
>>26079451
That would actually be really useful now that I think about it, though I tend to buy a lot of domestic BD releases as well. Sadly stuff like Lodoss hasn't been licensed for years. Surprisingly how many licenses fell through from the year 2000 onward, especially after the ADV implosion.
